NewMarket impact ‘huge,’ Slawson exec says

When NewMarket Square is completely built out — stretching from 21st to 29th streets on Maize Road — the retail project will have seen $80 million in private investment and created 3,000 jobs, says Jerry Jones, vice president of commercial development for developer Slawson Cos.

The 110-acre development also will create $3.25 million per year in property taxes and $22 million in annual sales taxes.
